Virtual therapy only | Licensed in NY & NJ EMDR, ERP, CBT & nervous system-informed care

Modern therapy for people who look like they’re holding it together — but feel overwhelmed inside.

You may be successful on paper, self-aware, and thoughtful, yet still feel anxious, disconnected, burned out, or caught in patterns you can’t seem to shift on your own.

This is therapy that helps you slow down, understand what’s happening beneath the surface, process painful experiences, and create lasting emotional change through evidence-based, nervous system-informed care.

Therapy that goes deeper than coping skills.

I work with young adults and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, OCD, self-doubt, depressed mood, emotional overwhelm, and difficulty feeling fully connected to themselves or their lives. The site direction should lead with these niche specialties: EMDR, trauma recovery, high-functioning anxiety, ERP for OCD, and queer-informed support for LGBTQ+ clients.

High-Functioning Anxiety

For the part of you that keeps performing, overthinking, planning, and pushing — even when you’re exhausted.

EMDR Therapy

A deeper approach for processing distressing experiences, trauma, self-doubt, and emotional patterns that feel stuck.

OCD & ERP Therapy

Support for intrusive thoughts, reassurance seeking, checking, perfectionism, doubt, and the exhausting need for certainty.

Trauma & Nervous System Care

Therapy that helps you understand your reactions, regulate your system, and move toward more safety, clarity, and connection.

LGBTQ+ Affirming Therapy

A queer-informed space where identity, relationships, stress, trauma, and emotional health can be explored with care and respect.

A thoughtful, grounded approach to therapy.

I have always been someone who cares deeply for others. Long before becoming a therapist, I found myself naturally drawn toward understanding people, supporting them through difficult moments, and creating space for others to feel heard and understood.

Over the past 10 years, that instinct has grown into a career and purpose that I care deeply about. My work is warm, collaborative, and depth-oriented. I integrate EMDR, ERP, CBT, psychodynamic therapy, and nervous system-focused work to help clients better understand themselves while creating healthier emotional and behavioral patterns.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, snowboarding, and being with my two boxers.

Healing that goes beyond insight alone.

Many of the people I work with are already highly self-aware. They can explain why they feel the way they do, but still feel stuck in anxiety, trauma responses, perfectionism, avoidance, relationship patterns, or emotional burnout.

My approach helps clients move from understanding their pain to actually processing it. Together, we work toward more self-trust, emotional regulation, clarity, confidence, and connection.

This work may include EMDR, ERP, CBT, psychodynamic therapy, motivational interviewing, and nervous system-focused support — always paced thoughtfully and collaboratively.

This may be the right fit if…

You’re successful on paper but internally exhausted.

You overthink, overfunction, or constantly question yourself.

You’ve tried to “logic” your way out of anxiety but still feel stuck.

You want therapy that feels deeper, intentional, and emotionally attuned.

You’re navigating trauma, OCD, burnout, life transitions, or relationship patterns.

You want a therapist who is warm, direct, collaborative, and affirming.

Healing beyond talk therapy.

EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is an evidence-based therapy designed to help the brain process distressing experiences that may feel stuck in the nervous system.

It can be especially helpful for trauma, anxiety, OCD, panic, self-doubt, perfectionism, chronic stress, relationship wounds, and feeling emotionally stuck despite years of insight.

All EMDR sessions are facilitated virtually using a specialized online platform designed for virtual EMDR work. The process is thoughtful and carefully paced, with time dedicated to emotional regulation, trust, safety, and nervous system stabilization before deeper processing begins.

What clients are saying

Review 1

“Our experience with Sam has been truly exceptional. For a long time, my child wasn’t willing to try therapy. We went through several intake sessions with no commitment—until the day she met Sam. Her warmth, patience, and genuine understanding created an immediate sense of trust, and for the first time, my child agreed to begin getting help. That moment was a powerful turning point for our family. Since then, Sam has continued to create a space where my child feels truly seen, heard, and supported.

Sam is able to reach parts of my child that even we as parents have never been able to access. Her kind and fun approach to therapy makes it feel less daunting and more enjoyable and productive. She asks the right questions and her suggestions are loving and supportive. There is something in her approach that calms my child and allows her to fully open up in ways she never could before.
