My Approach to Therapy

I believe therapy works best when you feel emotionally safe, understood, and not rushed. My approach is collaborative and down to earth. I am not here to analyze you or sit back while you struggle to find the right words. We work together, at a pace that feels manageable, to understand what is getting in the way and how to move forward in a way that actually fits your life.

I focus on creating a space where you can show up as you are, without pressure to perform or have everything figured out. Therapy does not have to feel cold, clinical, or overwhelming to be effective.

What Therapy With Me Is Like

Sessions are conversational, supportive, and intentional. I ask thoughtful questions, reflect patterns I notice, and help you make sense of your experiences in a way that feels clear and grounding.

Some sessions may focus on processing emotions or past experiences. Others may be more practical, helping you develop tools to manage anxiety, intrusive thoughts, or emotional overwhelm. We adjust based on what you need that day.

I believe therapy should feel useful, not confusing.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is a space to work through anxiety, trauma, OCD, relationship concerns, and life transitions with support and structure. We focus on understanding patterns, building emotional awareness, and developing skills that help you feel more regulated and confident outside of sessions.

I integrate evidence based approaches while keeping the work human and relatable. You do not need to know therapy language or explain things perfectly for this to be effective.

EMDR Therapy

EMDR is a powerful, evidence based approach that helps the brain process distressing memories and experiences that continue to show up in the present. Many clients come to EMDR feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or frustrated that insight alone has not been enough.

In EMDR therapy, we work to reduce the emotional intensity of past experiences so they no longer feel as triggering or intrusive. The goal is not to relive trauma, but to help your nervous system recognize that those experiences are over.

EMDR can be integrated into ongoing individual therapy or used more intensively, depending on your needs.

EMDR Intensives

EMDR intensives are extended sessions designed for clients who want to make focused progress in a shorter period of time. This option can be especially helpful if weekly therapy feels too slow or if you are navigating a specific issue that you want to address more directly.

Intensives allow us to spend dedicated time working through targeted memories or themes while providing structure, preparation, and support throughout the process. These sessions are carefully planned and tailored to your goals, with attention to emotional safety and pacing.
